Built by the Westside, for the Westside.
For decades, redlining and segregation kept Black families in Las Vegas on the west side of the railroad tracks, shut out of home loans and most of the city’s neighborhoods. So the Westside built what it needed. Families bought homes here. Local businesses served the people who lived down the street. Churches anchored the blocks around them. The neighborhood took care of itself.
When those restrictions lifted, families and businesses were finally free to move, and many did. The core that held the Westside together thinned out. Today it’s a neighborhood with deep history, strong churches and a lot of land ready to build on.
We started Westside Development Group in 2022 to build on that, with homes families choose because they want to live here. We’re in the early stage now, securing land for our first homes and lining up the builders and lenders to deliver them.
Our approach.
Residents shape what gets built.
The people who live here know what the neighborhood needs better than any plan. Tee-Azha leads our community engagement so those voices come first.
Churches are critical partners.
Westside churches have held the neighborhood together for generations, and many own land. We work with faith leaders who want to put that land to work for their community.
Landowners get our best.
We listen first, tell folks whether we’re a fit, and make offers that are intentionally fair and transparent.
Homes for families only.
We sell only to buyers who will live in the homes. We partner with housing counselors, down payment assistance programs and mission-driven lenders so buyers are ready when the homes are.
